Hi my loves! I am pretty much trying to force mother nature to make it warm in Alabama, I am so ready for spring weather and more importantly springs looks! To me, spring looks are all about taking basics and styling them to be super chic. However, Bama will not let me be great. It could be 30 degrees when I get up and 70 by 3pm, so dressing for that can be a nightmare! Today’s post is to show you How to Style up a White Tee for a look that is perfect for the cooler temps in the morning and the warmer ones in the afternoon while we transition into spring.

The Look
For this look, I really wanted to style up a plain white tee but you know I can’t do anything basic. So, I picked up this knotted tee from Forever21 but wore it untied so that it was a baggier fit. I got it in a 3X and love the way it looks. It is slit up each side which makes it more fitted arounf the bust and then flows nicely to the hips. For denim, I went with a light wash from FTF, I love the combo of the white with the light wash.
Btw, Fashion to Figure is one of my go to places for plus size denim. I love the fit and quality of their jeans. I wear a size 20 in their denim and it fits like a glove. They don’t have this exact pair anymore, I have had them for a while, but they have a lot of great options.
I added my FAV blazer that I literally have in every color offered from boohoo. This cream color is so perfect for spring and can be worn with any look! I am wearing a US20, and can approve the arms on these blazers. I carry a lot of weight there and it can be an issue with some blazers but these fit great and they are long line, which I adore.
Style it Up
After figuring out the basics, I styled it up to make it a chic but still casual look. For a bold addition, I added a bib statement necklace. It is so extra, but the perfect contrast to the basic white tee. Plus who doesn’t love some bling, even if it is total costume jewelry!
To keep things fresh and light for spring, I went with nude, strappy block heels from Aerosoles. Aerosoles heels are some of my favorites! They offer a ton of styles but are also comfy, I can wear them all day with no issues.
Lastly, for a pop of color, I grabbed this clutch from my latest Dia & Co box. I seriously get the best bags from them that finish off outfits perfectly. This one with the geometric pattern and a little tassel action was the perfect finish to the look! Let me know if you want to see more styled up basics!!
