Hello Loves!! I am trying to get back into the swing of things after the holidays, I ate way too much, hardly went to the gym and spent far too much time on my couch binge watching Sex and the City for the 1000th time (btw, I will never understand why she didn’t marry Aiden). I enjoyed every second of it, but it is time to get back to reality. Guys, it is officially 2018, last year was such an amazing one for my personally and professionally. Curves, Curls and Clothes had a great year and grew so much, I cannot thank you enough for all the support! One of my goals for this year is to actually write in the Life section of the blog. I’ve always loved writing and I want to use that section to let you guys get to know me better. I want to write about my life and the opportunities and adventures that blogging allows me, so be looking out for more posts over there! Now, lets get to the style! I am starting this year off with this Casual Plus Size Lane Bryant Street Style Look.
The Look
I purchased this look with the gift card that Lane Bryant sent me during the holidays. When I walked into the store the first thing I spotted was this faux leather jacket and I just had to have it. I went in knowing that I wanted two full looks featuring their denim. You already saw the first look I came up with in my last post, here. This one I wanted to be more street style. I picked up the leather jacket first, then found this blush long sleeve t-shirt. I love the paint splatter effect on it and the cut out details at the neckline on one side. Heading on over to the denim I saw that they had jeggings! This girl is a sucker for some stretchy denim… especially after all that holiday eating I mentioned earlier. I added ankle boots and oversized sunglasses to complete the look and love it!
The Fit
Honestly, I haven’t been seen much without this jacket since I purchased it. It is by far the most comfortable leather jacket I have ever put on my body, and I consider myself quite the leather jacket junkie. I own WAY too many. This one has stretchy knit panels along the arms and around the sides, you don’t get that straight jacket like restriction that some jackets cause. The shirt is super casual and comfortable too, a nice knit that is breathable and perfect for layering under the jacket. If you wanted it longer you could size up but I liked the length in my usual 18/20 size. The jeggings are stretchy and fit the curves nicely, they also have a covered elastic waist band that doesn’t roll down or slide around, so there is none of that having to constantly adjust them or pull them up. I got my usual size in them as well, 20, and love the fit. As most of you know, I am only 5’3 so I did cuff them at the bottom since I was wearing them with ankle boots, but with tall boots I would have been fine with the length as is.
